PELADOW calcium chloride is a concentrated (90-92%), pelletized form of calcium chloride. It is used primarily for melting snow and ice on sidewalks, steps, driveways and parking areas. There are also industrial applications for PELADOW calcium chloride that include dehydration of hydrocarbons, brine refrigeration systems, waste water treatment, and using it as a calcium source in chemical processing. In these applications, it is often dissolved in water before use. PELADOW calcium chloride meets ASTM D 98-93 and AASHTO M144-86 (1993) requirements for calcium chloride purity. The ASTM classification for PELADOW 90% calcium chloride is "Type S, Grade 2, Class B." PELADOW calcium chloride is available in various package sizes and in bulk truck and bulk rail.
